The problem

Cue sheets are a delivery chore that never gets easier.

Every programme needs an accurate cue sheet before it can air or be delivered. It drives how music royalties are paid, so PROs and broadcasters will not accept anything less. Producing one by hand is slow, detailed and easy to get wrong, especially for unscripted, factual and reality content that is dense with library music.

  • A time sink at volume

Cue sheets are detailed, painstaking work, and a series or back catalogue multiplies the load.

  • A distraction from core work

Skilled people end up on data entry instead of editing, mixing and producing.

  • Chasing the rights data

Each cue needs the right catalogue code, publisher, composer and PRO. Tracking that down eats hours.

  • Every recipient wants it differently

APRA AMCOS, PRS, ASCAP, a broadcaster, a streamer. The same cue sheet, formatted five different ways.

How it works

Hand it off in four steps.

From the media you already have to a cue sheet you can submit. We do the work in between.

  1. Send what you have

Whatever the edit left you, from a full session or cue list down to just the audio mix.

  2. We confirm every cue

We work from your cue list where there is one. If not, audio fingerprinting recovers the cues from the mix, including music hidden under dialogue.

  3. We complete the rights data

Catalogue codes, publishers, composers, PRO affiliations, ISRC and ISWC, timings and durations, matched against the major production-music libraries.

  4. We deliver

A broadcast-ready cue sheet in your required format, ready to submit. Usually within 48 hours.

Our difference

A missing cue list is not a dead end.

A cue list is the ideal starting point, and where there is one we work from it directly. When it is lost, incomplete, or never existed, most services are stuck. We are not.

  • Start from your cue list. When you have one, we work from it. It is the most accurate and fastest route, and the one we prefer.
  • Or recover it from the audio. When no usable list survives, we can identify the cues from the finished mix using audio fingerprinting, even when the music sits well under dialogue. It is not flawless, but where nothing else exists it is a dependable way to a complete sheet.
  • Either way, complete the rights data. Catalogue codes, publishers, composers, PRO affiliations and ISRC or ISWC, matched against the major production-music libraries, and delivered in the exact format your PRO or broadcaster requires.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What do you need from me?

Whatever you have. A cue list is the ideal starting point and the route we prefer. If you do not have one, a final mix is enough on its own. Stems or a session export help too. Send us what you have and we take it from there.

How fast is turnaround?

Typically within 48 hours of receiving your media. Larger batches and full series are scheduled around your delivery deadline.

What if I do not have a cue list?

A cue list is the most accurate starting point, so send it if you have one. If you do not, we can identify the cues directly from your finished mix using audio fingerprinting, including music buried under dialogue, then complete the rights data. This is not always perfect, but when no cue list or other documentation survives it is a dependable route to a complete, submittable cue sheet. We tell you what we found and flag anything uncertain.

What formats do you support?

The major PRO and broadcaster formats, including APRA AMCOS, PRS, ASCAP, BMI, Netflix, and other broadcaster-specific formats. We deliver in the exact format your recipient requires.

How do you handle confidential pre-release media?

Pre-release material is handled confidentially and securely. Files are used only to prepare your cue sheet and are not shared. We are happy to work under your NDA.

How is pricing worked out?

Pricing is per cue sheet or per episode, with better rates for ongoing volume. Email us with what you are delivering and you will get a clear price and turnaround. One-off programmes and small batches are welcome too.
