Privacy Policy

Cue Sheet Services is operated by Intuition Consulting Ltd, a New Zealand company. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

1. Who we are

Cue Sheet Services prepares music cue sheets for film, television and streaming. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Intuition Consulting Ltd. Our website is www.cuesheetservices.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact information. When you email us or request a quote, we receive your name, email address, company and anything else you include in your message.
  • Project materials. To prepare a cue sheet we receive the materials you send us, such as cue lists, Pro Tools sessions or session info files, editors' exports, and audio or video media. These can include the names of composers, writers and other rights holders.
  • Website information. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies and does not track you across sites; it gives us aggregate page statistics only.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to prepare and deliver your cue sheets, respond to enquiries and provide quotes, invoice and administer our client relationships, maintain the security of our website, and improve our service. We do not use your information for advertising, and we never sell it.

4. Client media and confidentiality

Pre-release and confidential material is treated with care. Media and project files you send us are used only to prepare your cue sheet, are accessible only to the people doing that work, and are never shared beyond the service providers listed below. We are happy to work under your NDA.

After delivery, source media and project files are archived securely so we can support revisions, corrections and re-deliveries. If you would prefer your material deleted, tell us and we will remove it promptly.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of reputable providers to run the service: website hosting and analytics (Vercel), email, DNS and network services, and secure file-transfer services for receiving large media. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Some providers store data outside New Zealand; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

6. Disclosure

We disclose personal information only to the service providers above, where you have asked us to (for example, delivering a cue sheet to your broadcaster or PRO), or where the law requires it.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information we hold, including restricted access to client material and secure transfer methods. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we treat your material the way we would want ours treated.

8. Retention

We keep contact and business records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations, such as tax record keeping. Client media is handled as described in section 4.

9. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email us and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new date.
